Our charming guest rooms in south Brittany

Located in South Brittany in the Morbihan Gulf, le Val de Brangon will lead you to discover all the delights of this ‘little sea’, recognised as one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Brangon is a Celtic place-name meaning ‘the hill of the chief’ and our property, surrounded by 5 hectares of hazel trees, is a peaceful retreat where you’ll find yourself watching the deer, the woodpeckers and the squirrels that live in the grounds. You’ll also see a 17th-century fountain, a monumental stone cross, the remains of a Druid hut, and countless other traces of the history of this former farm that once belonged to the Château de Kergonano and the Dondel family.

You’ll notice an eclectic collection of furniture and accessories, proof of our love of antique shops and bric-a-brac, and our love of beautiful fabrics and colours. At Le Val de Brangon, nothing is wasted, everything is transformed and reused (as you’ll see from our Espace Brocante). In spring, we sow a meadow garden to brighten up the view until the first frosts, and in summer you’ll find a great spot to relax in the shade of a willow near the pool as well as a table in the corner should you be inspired to write your first novel (use a typewriter or take advantage of the WiFi). Or, on the other hand, you could settle into a sun-lounger and unwind with a tasty treat or two…
